Trespassing and vandalism prompt police response at private park in North Hatley

This article reports that repeated trespassing and vandalism at the privately owned Lôbadanaki Park near the North Hatley wharf — where conservation group Bleu Massawippi has been working on ecological restoration along Lake Massawippi — led to the area being cordoned off with Sûreté du Québec (SQ) police tape, after fences, signs and even plants were damaged or stolen, and despite surveillance cameras the organization called in police and asked for increased patrols to protect the shoreline, clarify that the land is private and discourage people who think they can access the water there without using the municipal beach.
